Introduction
The Mwl. J.K. Nyerere museum is located in Butiama, Mara region in northern Tanzania. The museum was inaugurated on 2nd July, 1999 by the Prime Minister Hon. Frederick Sumaye. Butiama is the birthplace and burial place of the late Farther of the Nation Mwl J.K. Nyerere.
The museum was established to collect, preserve, and exhibit collections based on the life history and political contributions of Mwl J.K. Nyerere nationally and internationally. The late Father of the nation died on 14th October, 1999 and burried at Butiama Village, Musoma,Tanzania.
